Peanut Butter Banana Surprise II

Are you still as full from Thanksgiving as I am?  I mean, we had four Thanksgiving meals in three days.  That’s gotta be some kind of record.  I don’t imagine you want to read about some big meal right now, so I figured I’d post something that’s kind of healthy and light.  This is a great breakfast or snack, with lots of protein from the peanut butter and added vitamins from the banana.

The very first thing I ever posted on my blog was Peanut Butter Banana Surprise.  It’s basically a banana wrapped up in peanut butter, honey, granola goodness.  In a stroke of genius the other day…ok, maybe I was trying to figure out how to appropriately have chocolate and peanut butter for breakfast… whatever you want to call it, I came up with this little gem, and that’s all that matters because it’s delicious!

Peanut Butter Banana Surprise II

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 whole wheat or whole grain tortilla
  • about 1 tablespoon peanut butter (I used reduced fat)
  • about 1 tablespoon Nutella
  • 1-2 tablespoons granola

Directions:

Spread Nutella down the middle of the tortilla in about a two-inch wide strip.  On top of that, spread peanut butter.  Sprinkle granola over the top of the Nutella and peanut butter.  Next, place the peeled banana on top of the granola.  Wrap the whole thing up in the tortilla.

Enjoy with a tall glass of cold milk!
